He was the most successful, which made him the leader. I think he, O and Sparks are the same age. I'm not from Philly so I don't really know but I think all of them were the hottest dudes on their respective block or whatever. Beans got signed first, blew up and they chose to centre the movement around him.
thats what i was basically saying. him being the flagship Philly rapper on the Roc, he had some experience in the game and was anointed captain of a bunch of hungry Philly guys..he should have been able to lead from the front but he could hardly sort himself out and here we are.

Or basically all of them were unfit leaders, Young Chris and Neef seemed to be the most level headed but they were only kids too.
They would definitely need a Dame Dash type of dude in the crew, a senior dude who everyone respected and knew the game.

O, Sparks, Free, Peedi are all like 37-38...as are most of the Philly rappers from that era 77-78 babies. Chris & Neef are 31-32. Beans is like 42-43. Beans was signed first, but Young Gz were around same time/or a couple of months after. O & Sparks was early 99. Free and Peedi were brought in after everyone else and were basically the only ones brought in through Beans, even though they had just met through rap ish. Label didn't know what to do with them, so all of y'all from Philly y'all in a group.
O and Beans had issues for years. I think since they just both came home, they finally spoke. If you follow Philly hip-hop, O has been active throughout his entire time off Roc. He's said plenty of things about how Beans thinks he's better than everyone, while the rest of them view themselves as equals. I never met Beans, but O is a cool bul.
