I root mainly for NYC teams because I'm from NYC.

NHL: Rangers (NYC's NHL team).

NFL: Giants. Super Bowl XLII made me a Giants fan.

MLB: Yankees. The 2009 World Series made me a Yankees fan.

NBA: Knicks. I would stay by my granduncle a lot as a kid, and he's a big Knicks fan, so I would watch Knicks games with him and became a fan of the team.

WNBA: Liberty. They're New York's only WNBA team. Also, when I was younger, the Liberty was the Knicks sister team (now the Nets).

MLB- Mets. Lived in Queens, less then 10 minutes from Shea.
NBA- Knicks. Only NYC team as a kid. Love NBA basketball so now a Hornets season ticket holder
NFL- Giants. Was a big LT fan as a kid
College- UNC TarHeels. Since LT went there, I started following and it stuck.
Soccer- Man Utd (Foreign) and Charlotte FC (Domestic). Grew up liking Man U style of play when those English Premier League highlight shows came on.

Bill Russell
The Godfather of Defense in basketball, and the mantra "defense wins championships"
Stood together with Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Kareem to fight for justice

Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker are my earliest memories of watching my Celtics which only added to my love of them



2. Yankees
Their dominance in the 90s were the time I was growing up in NYC. Jeter is the ultimate living legend in NYC and forever loved. Easily the most popular team in NY. Them and the Brooklyn Dodgers are the essence of NY


These are the only 2 teams I root for. Outside of them, I follow more individual sports, Boxing and Tennis. Honorable mention to the NY Giants though
