I think it has less to do with feelings and more to do with lack of desire to incentivize being unskilled. While the unskilled and lower class are more likely to spend their money than the rich, what are they spending it on? Is it creating jobs and if so what kind of jobs?
That's an angle that has to be looked into. I am underemployed and with my current income it is only going food, gas stations and rent.

Causation does imply correlation.

Be a smart-dumb nikka and botch simple concepts brehs.

see my second post in this thread. Its one of the first rules of statistics.

like I said he's looking at it in a vacuum there could be a million reasons jobs went up. And its probably due to macroeconomic reasons more than anything

Yeah. It takes a substantial pay increase to make more than superficial changes in the average persons lifestyle. Americans don't save and unless that consumerism from increased wages is going towards large purchases like cars and houses it'll be getting spent on bullshyt.

Gang violence...
the cause of job growth is not the important issue.

the issue is that it did not kill jobs like many people were whining about. more people with more money to spend is not going to kill jobs. i know that's a novel concept but thankfully we have actual results to look at. truth be told, we already had evidence for this in the past and for some reason, libertarians and conservatives like to act brand new about it every time the issue comes up. the next time somebody trots out a thomas sowell quote on this issue, just point to the real results and move on to something more productive to talk about.

:snoop: You got the rule backwards. Causation implies correlation. Correlation does not imply causation.

How the fukk do normal people afford homes in Jersey besides baby boomers that bought back when the homes were cheap? :mindblown: Them home prices are :scusthov: status. A home that would run 200-250K where I live would be like 600K there. :beli:

Oh and the propery taxes are the highest in the country. And so is auto insurance.

This state is basically set up to ensure Jews and Italians :eat: well and everyone else struggle. Not to say you can't make it but the odds are stacked against nikkas. Even people that are legit get caught up in illegal hustles.

It's damn near impossible to live a middle class lifestyle and not be in long term debt in the process.

1. Economics isn't a hard science
2. "correlation coefficients" are defined narrowly WITHIN a certain field or study presenting data. You can't just name drop a term without any context of how the statistic is derived.
