Big Kobe and Lakers fan and this thread is pointless with out logic and reasoning as to why there stats are what they are.

Kobe's stats were more impressive, I dont need any reasoning to back that up, its black and white. If you want to dig into reason, well, some people will say Kobe benefited from playing with Shaq and got good looks because of that. Well, that point is FLAWED considering Bron just played a series where the defender gave him a 2-3 foot cushion everytime he touched the ball. Excellent looks if he was a dangerous shooter.

Efficiency isnt the end-be-all in basketball, the point is to win at all cost, and there have been plenty of inefficient players that have won. A player with 5 rings and low PER >>>>>>>> player with 1 ring and a high PER, 10 times outta 10. PER isnt significant enough to say Bron's playoff run this year is nicer statistically than Kobe's in 01. Hard stats dont lie. Especially considering how shytty Bron shot for most of the series.

Hard stats >> PER

I dont give a damn about PER. I dont even check for players PER's during the season. That stat means nothing to me. And it should never be considered on the same level as hard stats (ppg, assist, rebounds, blocks, etc.) You can be inefficient and still win (which is the point of playing) so the stat is flawed and not very telling in the grand scheme of things. Bottomine is, Kobe put up all-around better numbers as 2nd option, no need to bring this PER bullshyt into this.
