staying in a relationship too long

I have a tendency of doing this...ive been fortunate to meet women who have the same core values as me...but then they do something that in most cases most men would break up with them..but i dont thinking i can get over it and thinking that in this dating climate...there are a lot of no good women. All of my relationships have lasted 14-18 months....but that was 6-8the months longer than it should have

Nothing wrong with having a forgiving heart but you're right you know when things should really end and some things just can't be forgotten .

Just got out of this situation with my ex..she was the perfect friend...just not the perfect girlfriend..

We met through a group of friends... our personalities clicked as far as us having the same sense of humor...we enjoyed being around each other and all that. I think that the fact that she was really attravtive kinda swayed my opinion of her. I wasnt really romantically attracted to her..I just liked her.. and we woundup being together eintirely too long after i realized i wasnt romantically attracted..

You were fortunate that nothing too serious came from being in a relationship for too long.
Sometimes people are in relationships for too long and end up having children. And by that time, it's too late to make a clean break. Things get really complicated then.
The more you know who you are, and what you want, the quicker you'll be able to identify who truly fits with you.
