What effect does prostitution have on the AIDS crises in America?

Does it increase the cases of AIDS? Would legalizing it in every state decrease the number of AIDS cases?

What about STD's as a whole?

You can look at what the results are from Europe. That's your best bet. When it's regulated and there are rules it seems safe.

I'm not sure if there enough info to correlate prostitution and aids in America.

I think Europe's results have been great from everything I've seen, and read.

There are still street walkers and grey market brothels, but that's a choice/risk people are taking by frequenting them. Even then though condoms are a rule of thumb.
If you want to sleep with a prostitute in legal/documented it's safe as it can be.

I'd be more worried about rawing some random.
I feel like no one really wears condoms anymore in flings.
