If prostitution is legalized and becomes a regulated industry then there would be mandatory health screening of the sex workers to make sure none of them were working with STD's and they would be bound y law to have to se contraception or lose their license or whatever.
Honestly 10 minutes on X-Tube leads me to believe that you would be risking more sexing up a regular chick than you would with a legal whore just based off how few of the amateur videos on there feature people practicing safe sex.
Here is an interesting story about how the porn stars in Los Angeles have higher STD rates than the legal hookers in Nevada mostly because the porn stars are fukking raw constantly while the hookers are practicing safer sex:
