Steam Sales so trash now :mjcry:

Why would you get rid of daily and flashes :mjcry:

They had folks checking the site every 8 hours :mjcry:

What do you gain by getting rid of that :mjcry:

I've been thinking about this. I think devs must of been getting pissed off. It makes no sense why Valve themselves would willingly do this to themselves, as it's gonna generate less sales, and therefore, less profit for them. It's gotta be because of some outside influence. Did the devs band together on some "fukk your, pay me" shyt? I dunno :jbhmm:

I think it has a lot to do with the PC market expanding greatly this gen. They no longer have to give super sales since there are more consumers. A lot of people including myself were good on copping Ps4, X1, and just copped a graphics card and dowloaded steam. I know several peeps who were console exclusive players that are now PC, mainly because of all the deals, etc.

But they're minimizing the deals now. Are you saying they don't need sales to generate big profits anymore? That might make sense from a developer standpoint, but not from a Valve one. You know how many people just bought a game because it was on a flash sale or daily deal? The impulse buys are now a thing of the past. That seems to me to imply less profit for valve, as they're not getting those "oh it's 75% off for 8 hours :gladbron:, maybe I'll pick it up" sales anymore.

Got Axiom Verge on a whim. Now I think I'm officially done.

No dailies, no flash sales, no cards :mjcry:

It was fun while it lasted :manny:
Valve was going crazy the first 5-6 years in order to establish marketplace dominance. Now that they have it there is no real reason on their end to go crazy like they used to for years.

I don't care much anyway, I have officially turned into a casual gamer. I even look at Fallout 4 on my dashboard like :ld:

I can't get sucked into these sales, I just can't :snoop:

I have too many Steam games already and just bought a PS4.

But damn, what's this Zombie Army Trilogy like? :lupe:

But still, who doesn't want more money? I don't understand valve's logic.

And you're a casual console gamer. Never thought I'd see the day :mjcry:
