Absolutely. Still gets bumped to this day when it comes up on the playlist.

And imma tell you why:

- of course, the beat. That Police sample slowed down is GOAT,
and I suspect it was that same loop that inspired the “All About The Benjamins” beat.

- it’s catchy...it’s written with a lot of hooks.

- it’s from that era (that is gone) where they wrote songs appreciating dudes.
What I mean is: you know how City Girls, Cardi B anem make “bad bytch anthems”?
“Steelo” is from a time when females made anthems celebrating dudes.
I know dudes around my age from this era love this song and songs like it, but iono if
they even realize this might be why. I mean - this was just normal at one point.

Next thing you know, a few years later “No Scrubs”, “Bills, Bills, Bills”, and “Bug-A-Boo”
came out - and we never really went back there. Oh well.

But yeah, classic cut!
