beat on the Fashawn track is borderline annoying.

why isn't Ron Carter on this?
Ron Carter they pretty much put out as a bonus/apology because the album got pushed back. Album was supposed to drop on 11/19, so when it got pushed back, they dropped Step Masters and then Ron Carter as a little bonus to make up for it.

I can see why someone would find Banging Sound annoying. I did.

little underwhelmed off the first spin. Certainly don't hear any evidence of ALC being better than Madlib with this current group of tracks.

it'll probably grow on me.

i'm adding ron carter to my tracklist.

It's old but I threw James Hendrix on there too. It's definitely the same vibe as a lot of the earlier joints on the album, and some of these were probably recorded around the same time. You got the bonus joints on the deluxe? String Cheese and Bally Shoe?

String Cheese might be my favorite beat on here. Along with the third beat on Swimteam Rastas. Dr. Kimble and Legendary Mesh are two of my favorites as well. I've learned to like Banging Sound. Still my least favorite track on the album but Fashawn kills it.

Just bought it off itunes. Never bought a evidence album or heard one. Lets see what im getting into....

Aw man. Cats & Dogs is his most recent solo and is really good. Weatherman and Layover are dope too. Honestly Lord Steppington is different, because Ev is pretty much rhyming random shyt and just doing some clever wordplay. His solo albums are real dope, he picks great production, and has a lot of really dope joints. He does a good job of rapping about his life without coming across as emo.

Basically don't expect Lord Steppington to be much of a reflection of Evidence besides some clever wordplay. This is different than any of his solo stuff or even his stuff with Dilated Peoples for that matter.
