All pleas and deflection and trolling aside...there is no excuse for this. This was a winnable game and all they needed was an average Steph game and he didn't deliver. You can't be outplayed by Kyle Lowry and Fred Vanvleet on your home floor with the season the line. There is no doubt that he received an insane amount of attention. That is par for the course for a player of his caliber. He didn't just didn't get it done. There are really no pleas to cop here. Yes his team was ravaged by injuries...they were also right there for the entire game. Klay played his ass off until his body wouldn't let him anymore. Iggy turned back the clock. shyt, even Draymond hit a big shot (and we can't dismiss his impact on the boards, thereby nullifying one of TOR biggest advantages). Point blank, a player that is on the level that people want to put Steph on is getting ready for game 7 right now.
All that said, it's not all his fault. This is a wings league. Little nikkas can dominate the regular season or here and there in the playoffs when they have and advantage or if they have a wing by their side. But the cold reality is that you can't expect a 6'3, 190 lb guy to withstand what a 6'7, 6'8 240 guy can withstand out there. People just have to learn to put shyt in proper perspective when we see a Steph or Kyrie or Dame ball out. It's like back in the early 2000s when everyone wanted to talk about wings (Kobe, T-Mac, Vince etc) but the game was still run by bigs.

a lot of people said that Dray is top 15-20 player in this league. A lot of people said Klay needs Steph way more than Steph needs him. A lot of people said KD wasn't needed to win at all.
This gonna be an interesting year. I don't think it would be smart for the Warriors to let Steph go all out for weeks, he ain't built for that. But that is what Harden did last year. That is what other stars have had to do, carry the load while they are surrounded by lackluster talent..
