No, because the current team wasn’t built around having just Curry and another above average player. You can’t take away 55ppg out of the starting lineup and say “this team is still ready to win”.

It doesn’t work like that. If they did build it that way, the bench would’ve been much stronger like the 2015 Warriors.
This is what I'm refuting dumbfukk. Like I said, stop with the excuses. Like I said, stop acting like Steph coming up short is about the injuries to KD and Klay. Like I said, stop acting like it was on the supporting cast. Like I said, the game was winnable last night and he wet the bed.

His supporting cast stepped up kept them in a position to win the game despite his subpar play on both ends. Steph has never lived up to the "2nd best point guard of all time" hype in the finals.
1991 NBA Eastern Conference Finals - Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls | Basketball-Reference.com

Isaiah put up 16 PPG on 40% FG:lolbron:

*incoming coli dumbass* "b-b-but context"

wheres that context for Steph, you dont seem to want to take that into account:mjgrin:
That's the year Isaiah fukked his wrist up dumbass. He had wrist surgery and missed damn near half the season then tried to come back right before the playoffs.

Even if he didn't live up to your completely arbitrary Finals standards(which are bound to move no matter what happens in this conversation), that doesn't mean the rest of his body of work doesn't qualify him to be the 2nd greatest PG of all-time. Arbitrarily restricting his career to one series is stupid and really the only one he truly shyt in the bed in was '16.

Isiah went out with 23/4/9 in '87, 20/4/9 in '88, the already mentioned Chicago series, and then 15/5/5 on 34/36/79 in '92 :scust: and yet Steph putting up 31/5/6 against a very good defensive team and having a few bad games isn't 2nd of all-time worthy, despite the fact that he put up 32/6/6 from the time KD went down until last night.

Isiah's team still got to the ECF with him averaging 8/3/7 in the 2nd round in '91. :russ: :dead:

fukk outta here. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. :hhh:

Is curry coming off wrist surgery that caused him to miss 30+ games you dumb son of a bytch? What's not "the whole story" with curry?

Little fakkit ass probably didn't even see Isaiah play. Take these stat boy geek arguments and shove them up your ass.

Steph sucked in the crucial and has a history of shrinking in the crucial which is leading people to understand that he's been overrated. You cant argue against that so you're trying to deflect.

Oh now you're mad and resorting to insults because you sound like a dumbfukk and got caught up in lies.

You still can't argue against Steph being 2nd on the PG list. Period.

Isiah has one FMVP and you act like he's Magic level. FOH.

The facts say that he's 2-20 in his playoff career on shots to take the lead in the last 2 mins plus overtime. That's "choking" "folding" or whatever you want to call it. Especially when you're touted as an elite all time great player who's the best shooter of all time.

I haven't lied about anything and you deserve every last insult hurled at you. I didn't even mention isiah outside of correcting that other fakkit.

I wouldn't waste my time arguing over Isaiah against some little boy geek who didn't se him play and is only relying on nba.com or some shyt. You disqualify yourself from any serious discussion by thinking that stats translate across eras. This is a completely different era and basically a different game. You cant compare guys of different eras just on the stats.

So don't compare the stats.

What do you want to do?

Argue that Isiah was more skilled?

Argue that he anchored better teams?

Achieved more team success?

Better in his era than Steph is in his?

What is it that makes him 2nd over Steph?

you really going to go with that ESPN narrative didn't he just hit a three in Toronto in game 5 to tie the game. OH MY BAD it wasn't a go ahead shot with 20 seconds like what is this nonsense didn't he just score 30 in a half to beat the rockets like the dumb talk is hilarious.
well he just went 6/17 (3/11 from 3) in an elimination game at home and got outplayed by a backup PG.
