That's because Rose had nobody else around him that was a real threat offensively so you could key in on him.

Actually, Tony Parker has led the Spurs in scoring in 2 of their finals appearances

Also, that list pretty much shows that you don't need a "pass first" PG to win, as a matter of fact the position is pretty much overrated. And Billups is shoot first PG that won a title, name a pass first one not named Magic that has done the same

Because Rondo was playing with Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and KG, you're acting like dude didn't have HOF talent on that squad. The bigger Rondo's role got on that team the worse the offense got.

That's my point Good/Great pg's create scoring opportunities for their teammates.They set them up look at how many easy alley opps paul gets griffin & jordan a game or open 3's he gets crawford and reddikk.That's what point guards are supposed to do run the offense,set up teammates,create scoring opportunities ,not shoot it 29 times a game.Your teammates can never get any rhythm if the pg is hoggin like that and if they're missing then look to score more and that will eventually create more scoring opportunities for your teammates

The game is going to move away from PG's like CP3, and honestly it should, the only successful pass first PG in the last 30 years is Magic and he's honestly a huge outlier because of his size. When the Pistons were winning titles Zeke was more like Curry, Rose, etc than he is like CP3. An attacking PG that looks to set people up secondary and has the ability to play off the ball is more important in todays NBA than a dude that can set everyone up but can't get 30 when you need him to.

He hasn't. But he's played with talent good enough to be an elite offense and hasn't done it.

If the likes of Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Ty Lawson and Ricky Rubio can lead their teams to top 10 offenses I don't see why Curry can't.

Curry himself wasn't elite 2 years ago, so who he played with then is kind of irrelevant


Also, you're doing more to hurt Rondo than you are Curry, considering Rondo played with much better talent than Dragic, Lowry and Rubio and the Celts were only marginally better on offense.
