How he a lame for promoting a good message for his then fellow youngbouls? He can thank Drake for getting people to ignore the fact that he was a lame before the deal. Drake opened that lane up for him to strut through it.

Being a Christian rapper gotta be one of the top 5 scams going, the lane is so wide open.
Lacrae is a wannabe who, like Common, wanted to make street music but didn't have the image authenticity required to portray it, so he switched lanes due to obligation and the exploitation of a largely unexplored market. It's obvious that Lacrae listens and supports secular music, the DJ Mustard-like track in the OP is proof of that.

That IS a Mustard track breh"Show me" kid ink ft. Chris brown
Real Chorus: "I wanna put your panties to the side, imma make you feel alright"
Really though, what is going through the mind of a Christian rap fan at that concert when they hear a Mustard-type hip hop beat and are dancing to it? What kind of mindset do you have to be in to enjoy that music in any other way than secular? No sinful thoughts cross their mind?![]()
The most popular rappers are Drake, J Cole, Ye, Kendrick, etc...... all them nikkas stayed on the porch.... and of course he listens to secular music and does secular shyt,,,, he wouldn't have a story to tell other wise...
Just say you hate nikkas and hate nikkas trying to find a power source that's bigger themselves........ Yall gon learn tho...
You're not getting it. He wanted to be a street rapper, and that's what he portrays, except that has been reformed by his religious beliefs. He simply did not want to be a conscious rapper, and talent wise, he can't compete with the other artists you mentioned. The Christian lane allowed him to be mediocre (at least in the begining) and still succeed a major level. In short, it was better to be a king at the table with peasants than a table full of kings.
This is why I know half of you cats are lame/white/ or whatever..... Rap game aint been about talent for a minute... a half Jew hybrid from Canada who grew up upper class and is a reformed actor is running rap right now and you got the nerve to type about authenticity.........

Lecrae is actually dope tho... You can't name a Christian rapper that had his level of appeal/talent in the last 12 years
