Teams literally force the ball out of his hands/stop him getting the ball all over the floor. No player in history has had to deal with that type of defensive attention. You keep trying to attribute this to Steph's teammates, when he's the one the allows them to go 5v4, 5v3, 5v2 etc.
It's unfortunate we can't shadow past players' careers (like MJ) with the type of defensive attention that Steph gets. It's the only thing that would get y'all nikkas to understand what's really going on.
MJ didn't have Steph's shooting nor off-ball ability. I'm not sure how he'd have more offensive impact in this era. Would teams really be guarding MJ like they do Steph? Most probably not.

There really is no predecessor to how he impacts a defense. Extra defenders start looking his way as soon as he crosses half court, and it’s not a mistake to do that honestly. He’s the real life equivalent of a glitch in 2K.
Have to agree with this. The obvious high scoring superstars have had defense designed to stop them but the attention Steph draws is ridiculous. Even off ball he has 3-4 defenders watching and moving with him.
