In Ray's 1st 5 seasons he took 2,276 3pt attempts

Steph has taken 2704

Curry has been allowed to jack up more 3p shots

But it's a toss up

why the fukk do yall keep ignoring the difference in their percentage lol. taking more 3's while shooting a way higher percentage means youre a better shooter :snoop:

Seems to me like Curry just shoots more threes than Ray did. Steph's last 3 seasons he's had more than 600 3 point attempts. Ray only went over 600 attempts once for his whole career

Put a prime Seattle/Milwaukee Ray in the league right now and he puts up retarded numbers. League is way more three happy now
The "Steph shoots more" arguments is blown to pieces because he also shoots a higher percentage when, if Ray was the better shooter the opposite should be true. If Ray shot as often as Steph did (and was also his teams primary ball handler) how many percentage points lower would he be at?

You acting like Steph is blowing Ray out the water percentage wise though

Steph is only 4 percentage points higher than Ray is. Ray still maintained 40% for a career that was like 17 years long and just barely missed having 50-40-90 splits for his career

His jumper was mos def the best looking jumper of all time
I've been saying that for years. Ray has the most aesthetically pleasing jumpshot ever. He was a hell of a shooter one of the best ever. The numbers don't lie. But steph is on that ass for sure. If Ray is #1 then Steph is 1A or vice versa

Ray Allen was Seattle's primary ball handler and handled the ball a lot in Milwaukee. Ray wasn't a catch and shoot guy his whole career

He created his 3's by himself and off the dribble for over a decade, maybe not to the extent of Steph but Ray could get his with no help

We all know he was more a traditional SG in his younger days, but he still never spent as much time with the ball in his hands as Steph. Also, how can you concede this and still try to make this argument? :dwillhuh:

Ray had years shooting as low as 35%-36% and is at 40% of his career, and the last 7 years of his career he was almost exclusively an off-screen spot-up shooter with boosted his career percentage up to what it is. Only 4 of Ray's 20 years in the L did he shoot a higher percentage than Steph's worst.

This isn't a debate. It's not close between them. No amount of nostalgia can make this an argument. Steph has the ball more, shoots more, and shoots at a higher clip. Ray literally has no argument for any advantage over him as a shooter.

Steph is the GOAT shooter. You don't have to wait til he's :flabbynsick: to say this.

Ray Allen could not shoot off the dribble as good as Steph. It kills me when people say, "so and so was/is a better shooter than Steph, pure form wise etc" or some dumb ass stipulation they put out there to side with their wrong opinion.

Steph is an elite shooter regardless of how he's putting it up. Off the dribble, off the catch, off the curl, on the move... don't matter. You give him daylight and it's a wrap. Now people in here bringing up the amount of 3's he's taken like he's not shooting a high ass percentage while taking all those shots.

Dude, that is blowing Ray out of the water. 4 percentage points is SIGNIFICANT when we're talking about shooting 3 pointers.
