Why are both of yall speaking as if the increased rate of threes per game isn't basically the replacement for long twos -- a placebo for a good shot -- the points in the paint median is the highest it's been in the last decade. All that will change going forward is the trend of teams maximizing the highest percentage shot/highest points per shot and the talent will naturally develop skillsets that match that (providing the scoring system stays the same); which means that post scorers will always have a place in the league.

What we will see is the death of one-dimensional 5s who can't play both sides of the floor. They will eventually become extinct.
