If Social Media was big in the 80s and 90s it would be the same way. EVERY generation feels like they have the greatest everything. That's just life. Nothing wrong with it either.

Still an all time great performance given the circumstances :manny:
but social media wasnt that big and because it wasnt. we were not swearing everything that everyone did on a nightly basis was THE BEST EVER. that is something that is reserved for this generation. IT DEFINES THIS GENERATION. over the top, under the bridge type of ratings scale. nothing in between. there is no average. everything is great or horrible. no middle ground. this is also the generation of ridiculous stats. so they over use them to create a narrative that doesnt need to be created. to make someone look better than they are or much worse than they really are. this was not the case 10, 20+ years ago.

I get what you're saying but how can be so sure when you didn't have the whole world's opinion at the click of a button back then?

see this is the problem with this generation. everything that happens in life to them is "the greatest moment EVER!!!!!"or "OM.... the worse moment EVER!!!!!" sorry there is a such thing as a great moment. thats its own thing and special without putting the "EST" on the end of it.

but this generation doesnt understand this. and i'm not just talking youngins. the old heads pushing the media has the agenda to make everything OVER THE TOP in order to get you to watch and click the link on the net. this is why they pull out ridiculous silly stats to make someone look great or horrible. when in reality the person is pretty good or solid or just average. saying pretty good/solid or average = boring to the media. so lets over exaggerate how good they are are kill them to the point they suck when in reality thats not the case at all.
Exactly I was just saying this, sensationalism is at an all time high I'm afraid

What's crazy is they made the right common sense move passing up Durant for Oden. He was going to be a generational talent big man and they already had their young star wing with Roy. Couple years later they were both done. :wow:
