This whole "Curry can't handle physical play" thing needs to stop and it needs to stop now. Anyone who has seen a Golden State game in person will tell you that Curry is constantly getting shoved, pushed, bumped, grabbed, etc.
Dude doesn't care. Curry is surprisingly tough mentally and he'll fight through rough play with no problem plus he's sneaky as hell (Watch Curry when they try to put bigger defenders to body up on him or be physical, he knows that refs will give him the benefit of the doubt so he'll push them off into a screen and use the momentum to clear for a 3 or he'll grab the bottom of jerseys).

You really can't hand-check Curry anyway. His handles too good, he's put you on SC constantly. We never had someone like Curry. Someone who can shoot like this, create his own shot like this and dribble like that in one package at an GOAT level. That's surreal. You can't guard him at all. He's coming for Magic, that much is clear. To me, he's already better than prime Zeke.

I don't ant to hear about how "soft" the league is when I saw PGs like Francis, Davis and Marbury all put up numbers despite the fact none of them could consistently shoot. They did that with handchecking and much lower basketball IQ's than Curry, I mean cot damn, Marbury averaged 24ppg in 00-01 and shot 44% from the field WITH handchecking. So Curry, armed with the best jumpshot ever, and a handle on par with some of the best ball handlers to play in the league isn't going to get his, despite the many examples of lesser players than him putting up numbers during the 1980s through 2004 pre-handchecking era?
He'd still be able to do what he does, because you cannot affect his jumpshot, he was shooting over Anthony Davis like he wasn't even there

Him and Kyle are similar shooters to a degree but let's be real. Curry can shoot on the fly, Korver, not so much. Curry shooting ability is more amazing because he can get his shot off from nothing, he don't even need space sometimes. He just does it.
He's away better scorer than those guys. You can't just pack the paint and double team him like you can with those SG's. He's a PG as well. He can create for others. Look at his +/- of the last two seasons. It's Lebron tier and none of those guys had Lebron tier =/-, even Jordan.
Honestly, this team is a borderline playoff team in the West without Curry if not even worse. That's why we always talk about MJ having the rules adv with no zone D and illegal D being double teams. The game was modified to MJ's strengths and for good reason, MJ was GOAT money for the NBA but let's be real. Curry scoring>>> anyone outside of Wilt.
While Curry had decent handles, a nice first step, a great shot and was a solid passer with solid BBIQ at Davidson, he wasn't what he is today. He improved on some Aaron Rodgers shyt. I have to say, I don't think I seen a player improve that much that didn't enter the NBA out of HS or their FR yr of college like DeAndre Jordan.

every star player gets grabbed, pushed, held to some degree. i didnt say he couldnt handle it. stop overreacting. i said if he was here in the 90's. with a slight rule change. i didnt say the 80's with super handchecking. curry would have a lower fg% but still be virtually unstoppable.
back in the 90's he wouldnt be able to use as many screens either since 90% of most nba teams didnt play that way. now its all 30 teams doing it. not saying the master dribbler needs a screen(he doesnt). but a screen makes him have a much cleaner look. gives him another 1.5 secs to get a clear look. thats enough time to have an even higher fg%. these are facts.
i still think he's unstoppable. i never said that about lebron. bron not running people over can be guarded. we saw that with iggy, KL, and a few others.
