The MJ vs Bron comp has never made sense tbh.

Bron is and has ALWAYS been more like Magic: oversized PG from the Midwest that can get buckets (not always pretty though), has amazing hoops IQ and court-vision, will occasionally put his foot in his mouth when talking to the media, does good work in the community and is extremely competitive but not quite a psychopath like MJ, Kobe etc.

Magic/Bron want to win but they also want to be liked. They're not comfortable being the bad guy because that's not who they are. It's not a positive or negative...just how they're wired.
