For rational, mature people yes. Most people are not rational and mature. There are people who get knocked and keep doing the same dumb shyt. What's stopping a guy who actually got off?

And this is why ESPN, the NFL and SAS are all a part of the problem for reinforcing this shyt.

Getting publicity at the expense of black people has almost no consequences. Getting publicity at the expense of feminists is an easy way to lose sponsors.

Wake.
the story here is a hulking football player knocking out his significant other, and dragging her through a damn hotel lobby. AInt nobody in this context is trying to hear about "women should do their part in preventing men from beating them into a pulp". Steven A is smart enough to know this. We'd be rightfully offended if there were a case of a black person being lynched, and some asswipe took it as an opportunity to talk about " black people need to to prevent provoking white racism". Its not the time for all that.

Now if Steven A felt compelled to take the side of the abuser, he had to make sure his message was disciplined and clear. He could have said something to the effect of "women shouldnt hit men because violence begets violence...blah blah". Nobody but an extremist would disagree with something like. To talk about a woman "provoking" domestic violence is insensitive because we know in those situations all it takes is something like a woman not having dinner on the table at an agreed upon time in order to "provoke" an aggressive man.

Exactly. Honestly don't even see how this can be argued.

I mean I generally agree with women shouldn't be aggressively attacking men in any form. But c'mon man look at the video....

ray-rice-dragging-fiancee-out-of-elevator.gif

That's not jarring to yall? To see a female's limp body being drug out of an elevator, and laid there motionless? And the first thing you want to talk about is what SHE MIGHT have done to provoke his actions rather than Ray Rice's actions in itself? That's where Stephen A. is getting himself in trouble rather than the merits of his argument.

By who? The coli? You see any of his colleagues and groups coming out to denounce him? You saw him stumbling all over himself on twitter?

You lying

:comeon: yeah I'm lying....

YES!!! VICTIM BLAMING IS VICTIM BLAMING.

And pretending like you know everything about victimizing is being a jack-ass.

Yes, plight. Is that too fancy of a word for you? Is that one of them "college edumacated" words to you?

You have to be black to believe that a black victim of racism is responsible for someone else to racist?

I'm not saying that...I'm calling you out because you want a middle-aged white women to express outrage and understand the core of this issue that many blacks deal with when she may not be able to reflect on the issue the same way most blacks do.

You don't need to be black to say "ITS WRONG TO BLAME VICTIMS OF RACISM FOR THE RACISM OF OTHERS"

You don't need to be black to feel that way...but you also don't need to pretend you know how every single person is/isn't a victim in every single situation.

And how does a woman "provoke" a man two to three times her size in knocking her out, and dragging her lifeless body across a hotel lobby like shes a dirty mop?

Steven A. was initially ambiguous and didnt specify what exactly these preventative measures are in preventing a man from violently lashing out. Its all this blame the victim sht, where the victim somehow how should be just as responsible as the aggressor that injured them or killed them. Thats the equivalency im striking. Sht is garbage.
From what I understand both parties were drunk and had a heated arguments in the elevator and no one knows exactly what happen. She also forgave the man and married this man that physically abused her :dwillhuh: A similar situation occured with Jay and Solange and had Jay reacted the way Ray rice had would he be in the wrong :dwillhuh:

But I do agree that SAS should have been more specific with how he explained himself but he was afraid of backlash and in doing so got the exact backlash he was trying to avoid by tip toeing around the subject.

I understand the fear of victim blaming I really do! but before we call people victims shouldn't we examined every situation on a case by case basis :dwillhuh:

And the most liberal tree huggingest website of them all has finally coaxed its massive wood to maximum girth and is inviting everyone to come and stroke it for them. And stroke they shall.

I agree but that metaphor though

Excusing what behavior?
What words did I put in your mouth?

You made state saying the climate of the general public is if you coordinate your behavior to avoid certain situations you are some how justifying or saying its okay for this behavior to take place, I am correct if not please reiterate

I'm saying the dumb people on twitter are not on that stance, they just want something to shyt on Stephen A for because he argues well and doesn't come up on the short end of the stick most of the time

all that other shyt is just an excuse to tear him down
