It's about race because a White woman got offended. When Jemele Hill was offended when Stephen A. said this

nothing happened.

how far did she take it?
She has the platform to really go at his neck if she was really offended.

Im just tired of people wanting everyone fired and wanting everyone to apologize because their feelings were hurt.
This shyt is not going to stop. You see it on every forum...everyday there is a post about how someone needs to be put on the spot because it doesnt fit your personal view.

Look at all these post in here talking about "c00n this and that"...why? because someone doesnt agree w/ you 100% of the time on race issues? :what:
Cats need to grow up and realize there are going to be different points of view, and we have to live w/ each other.

Stephen A said men shouldnt hit women and it started a big controversy because women feel they should be able to hit men :what:
People pissed at Camron because of instagram post him made about women not having children :what:

Jay Z is a racist because he has a 5% Chain on :what:
Whoopie is a c00n because she didnt take offense to a friend of hers in blackface making a joke :what:

No...I'm saying SAS didn't say what Whoopi said. Had he had done so, this wouldn't be an issue.
Breh we both know why he did not say it BC he was afraid of exactly what happened to him. Whoopi got the cover of being a woman and being able to say that S.A.S don't

And we both know he care more so about his paycheck than his integrity hence the verbal acrobatic in trying to get his point across

If he said it, I don't think there would be an issue. Nothing wrong with saying women shouldn't hit men. But Mr. "You need to speak well" said no such thing.

We've all stated that Stephen A poorly explained his point. But there was no reason to go off what he said and jump to the conclusion that he's saying women deserve to get beat as has been done. Everybody knew what he meant by don't provoke it. The point people agreeing with Beadle were making was that there is absolutely no way a man can be provoked into hitting a woman.

Even when the argument turned to keeping your hands to yourself women still jumped off the deep end saying there's absolutely no reason for a man to lay hands on a woman even when being hit. Look at how crazy the other women got at Whoopi saying what she said.

It's like on those tv shows where a guy at the bar says something the woman doesn't like and she either slaps him or throws a drink in his face. They think that's a woman's right to do that without any repercussions.

There's no but to it bro. He left the door open to interpretation. he claims to be the master of the English language yet was vague on the use of the word provoke. He opened that door.

As much as I hate SAS, you're right - he doesn't deserve to lose his job over this. But the way he said what he did about the situation was poorly phrased and because of that he was indeed obligated to apologize.
He's not just some guy that people gotta get along with; he's a highly-paid public figure that enjoys the life he lives because of our patronage. The problem - which you're right to point out - is the same public equating "respecting your audience" with "doing every single fukking thing your audience demands or risk losing your job." I like to believe that there's a happy medium, which in this case was taking the L and just apologizing and moving on. If ESPN fired him I would've lost any grain of respect for that organization I still have.

Less talked about is the fact that his Beadle - work colleague - called him out like that. She absolutely should be taken to task for it, but media has a weird way of completely shutting down women some of the time yet letting them get away with some bullshyt at other times.

More faux outrage. Anybody with an ounce of common sense would understand the point he was making. Or if you're from the camp that believes he expressed it poorly, you still understood what he was saying, and likely fukkin agreed with it too. This situation, to me at least, is a typical case of a white woman using a victim card to put the wordy n!gger in his place. There's a side of me that is glad that this has happened because it highlights how this society and it's caste system still operates. Make no mistake about it, a Black male is still second to a white woman. Hence Smith apologizes for something he should have never apologized for. If she disagrees and wants to initiate dialogue, that's great and something I wholeheartedly agree needs to happen more often as misogyny is deeply entrenched within society. What she did however, is, kill the discussion entirely, and in the process reasserted her position as a white woman who is superior to a wordy n!gger. Stephen A Smith was just reminded that just because he's articulate, doesn't make him any less of a n!gger. Oh, and not just a n!gger, but a dangerous n!gger at that who still scares our Aryan princesses.

I think with what Beadle said, ESPN should have cut the leashes off of Stephen as well

kinda biased that the female could say shyt like that and the male has to keep his lips locked ↓
