As I stated before, ratings took a nosedive this season after LeBron put the league on his back and took them through ratings heaven for the last 5 years. Got 'em that fat TV contract and allat.

People want you to believe otherwise, but the casual fan doesn't fukk with or care for the Warriors like that. With them at the helm general interest has faded. Even the Warriors marquee games against big teams don't come close to anything the Heat or last year's Cavs did. In fact the ONLY Warriors game to break 6million viewers this season...was against the Cavs. And they needed Xmas to do it. Heat regularly broke that mark.:manny:

People will bring up the 2015 Finals having ATG ratings. But it had little to do with the Warriors. Since 2011 LeBron in a Finals guarantees you a ratings goldmine but this one in particular was special because he was doing it with his 2 best players injured. You could've thrown any WC team in there in the Warriors place and it still would've been a ratings bonanza because everyone wants to tune in to see if LeBron can do it or not, so they can proceed to either support, or hate.

Don't shoot the messenger, but Steph Curry doesn't have star power like that. This is one of those weird transitional seasons where most of the talent is young and hasn't hit their primes yet so we'll see who the league face is a few from now.

My Pops Forever RIP
Great point. He never complained about Miami being on top.
he liked going to Miami. That's why he never complained about the Heat.

The individual awards have no intrigue this year.

The Finals feel like an afterthought since we're just waiting for Spurs /Warriors.

The Warriors themselves are not the problem though. People go out to see them. They have an MVP, a potential DPOY candidate, a fun offense, stifling defense. It's not their fault the rest of the league ain't shyt.

When someone proves me wrong I capitulate. You just proved me wrong, rep coming your way.
#salute its the same thing when yall read that older players criticize todays nba or say how it would be more difficult for curry to dominate in different eras. older players were saying the same shyt about Jordan and the Bulls in the 90s....Oscar Robertson, Dr. J....all this shyt is a cycle :heh: especially when the team doing the dominating is winning in the "unconventional nba way" i.e. without a dominate center or power forward

You posted LOCAL ratings of the Warriors to prove your point.

Wow, so what you're telling me is that people who live in the area of a team will tune in more if their team is successful? :ohhh:

Too bad I'm talking about national ratings, you know, the ones that matter. :mjpls:

Christ you're a fukking idiot. :wow:

And if you had any reading comprehension you could see that I never denied the Warriors being the most watched team in the league right now. Just that their national ratings as most watched don't hold a candle to the great teams that've come before them.

Basketball in general has become boring as fukk but the Warriors are one of the only entertaining teams left
Cosign. Only time I've checked NBA games has been to see if any of these teams can be them
At least when Bulls was running nikkas you could count on somebody trying to choke out Rodman or shove Pippen out of bounds every now and then LOL. Most of these teams just lay down as Steph shimmies and Draymond barks in their faces. But kudos to them for keeping my NBA interest hanging on by a thread

Your national ratings tweet is still stupid. If you actually clicked the article and read it instead of just searching "Warriors ratings" on Twitter and finding the one with the nicest headline, you'd see the article is simply a comparison of the Warriors nat'l TV ratings this year, in comparison to last year. OBVIOUSLY, they're going to see % increases compared to last year because they just won a ring and are the best team in the league. What your feeble mind is failing to grasp is that even at their PEAK right now, as the MOST-WATCHED team in the league, the TV ratings the Warriors generate still come absolutely NOWHERE close to the great teams before them. They don't have star power like that. I know it hurts you, but it's the truth. :yeshrug:

Here are the 15 most watched non-Christmas day NBA regular season games since the ABC/ESPN deal began in 2002:

Notice something? :mjpls:

There's levels to this NBA shyt and LeBron is in a stratosphere that your mancrush Curry will never ever touch in a million years. Dude is all over that fukking top 15, even his ass 2009 Cavs team squeezed their way in there.

He said that because he's in the media and their writing/talking about the same story every night.

1. Curry hits tunnel shot
2. Curry hits long range 3
3. Curry makes pass to Klay for 3
4. Throw in draymond highlight

This season has been good to me. 1. The east standings are crazy.
2. This rookie class looks to be one of the best in recent years
3. Kobes last year
And :comeon: was probably trolling anyway

The Warriors doesn't give the media much to talk about. It's obvious to even the casual fan that they're dominant. What can Sassy A and the media manufacture that is interesting?

It's self serving as fukk. I'm enjoying watching this dominance. We may not see another team like this again in 20 years but here's the media telling us not to live in the moment because they're not getting anything to put a 24 hour spin around.

So your point is showing Christmas day ratings? As a wise man this conversation is over.

Nah, outside of the Warriors it's been a pretty boring season. I'm not sure what everyone would be talking if it weren't for them.

The Thunder Vs Warriors game was the best one this season.

Most of the rookies hit that rookie wall or are on shytty teams....

There aren't many storylines to run with this season :ld:
@*VA*STORY @dh86 facts. I thank god for gs for allowing me to enjoy a bball game every now and then. Spurs on occassion. Weak ass league
