As we've seen being intelligent is not a barrier to entry in politics. Now the charisma part is legit; I don't know a single person that likes SAS.
You only don't need IQ if you have charisma. You can't be a dead, stupid fish and run for president.

I dislike SAS, but he debates people (albeit on Sports) every day for like the last 20 years or so. He would've run circles around those folks during debates. The scary thing is he probably would've done really well if he ran.
He has no convictions and no in-depth knowledge on anything. He would've gotten utterly embarrassed by anyone competent
