y'all need to pick a side with SAS and stay on it. You already know his game
Very true. When he says something next week they like, there will be melo salutes in every other post.
Only black people have "honorary spokespersons". It's obvious that Stephen A's claim to fame has been basically riding the career of allen iverson & being a groupie to certain athletes his entire professional career. At one point in time ESPN tried to make him the sports version of Arsenio but it failed & he was let go. And now he's loving those disney checks which is the reason he's always playing both sides of the fence when race related topics come up...
What I despise about stephen a is more of a microcosm of my frustration with some white people, especially those in the media. They tend to defer to ANY black person on ANY black topic as if they're "the ultimate voice of our community". Stephen A isn't my spokesperson & It's 2014 & EVERYONE has a platform to get their opinions out not just him on that platform.
Also I find it down right disrespectful that wild homos like don lemmon can get on their soapbox & publicly chastise the black community when he does nothing for the community but yet he's on his knees everynight sucking off a white man literally.
I find it very irritating when Stephen a says "as a black man I have a duty to speak on black issues". Umm no you don't, you're a below average journalist who thinks just because you have an extended vocabulary that you're a modern day "voice of our people" when you aren't.
It's just his arrogance oozing through as usual, one minute you're judgmental when bashing black athletes the next you're tap dancing better than a prime gregory hines on riley cooper, zimmerman & irsay. He's just a guy that takes himself very serious & tends to believe he's more important than what he really is.
The point is he was a garbage basketball player, terrible writer, below average journalist & rides the coattails of more star athletes that groupies to stay close them, the hell with him & his opinions...
