Stephen A. Smith just said Lebron and Melo will opt out in 2014 and try and team up.

Agree and THANKFUL for the Lebron part.... Let his pansy a.ss stay where he at.

Melo and Kobe can coexist easily... Give them some shooters and skilled passers, it'll be beautiful... (oh, steve nash, best shooter and top 5 passer of all time happens to be there:whew:)

1. Both are bull headed
2. Both shoot a lot and chuck when angry
3. Neither will back down
4. They clashed on the floor a few time during the Olympics, which I saw Melo get upset
5. Melo won't go for Kobe's type of leadership when the chips are down
6. Kobe has old man pride and Melo is in his prime, he needs to fly.

this is the same stephen a smith that said dwight was going to the nets and the nets were going to be better then the knicks 2 years ago :aicmon:

you guillable nikkas believe everything he says now?

also the same SAS that said the Clippers could/should "trade" for Doc Rivers 2 months ago :ld:

If Kobe comes back and is NOT the Kobe of old, still good, but not the same and the decision came down to Kobe OR Lebron, who would they choose :leon:

Also the same SAS that claimed Rudy Gay and Dwight talked about teaming up at a time when they couldn't have possibly done so.

SAS is playing rush and roulette with these predictions. I can't see Lebron leaving Miami with all that he got going on over there.

I can see Melo in a Lakers uniform though. But at the end of the day you never know what kind of intentions they may have in regards to joining a team.

shyt, Dwight Howard was in Colorado and received random business cards from the locals there who happened to be all from Houston. He said it was a sign from god to join the Houston Rockets. Really nikka?

As a repeat taxpayer, the Heat will be facing the highest incremental tax rates in NBA history. If, for example, the luxury-tax threshold is established at $75 million -- a highly optimistic gain of roughly $5 million from this season -- the Heat could be faced with a tax bill approaching $48 million. In total, they would be paying $141.3 million for 12 players.

Yeah but Micky Arrison is a billionaire who has stated that the Heat are a hobby to him and not a business. He loses money every year on the Heat but it's all good once they present him with that trophy. :win:

While I agree that we can't really rule it out it's not like the situations are the same. I doubt he leaves Cleveland coming off 2 or 3 titles.

It's hard to imagine Bron playing for the Lakers but I though the same thing about the Heat in 2010. Anything is possible but I think it's more likely that he stays and Melo goes to LA. But even that would hinge on if Dantoni is still the coach. We know how that ended up last time they were together. And I don't know if this point in his career or even after next season if Bron would want to play the 4 for a whole season.

What's appealing about the lakers ??? Kobe said he's playing 4 more years and seems to have no plans to take a backseat to anyone ... Why would 2 other superstars go join up with him ? Not to mention he might be a shell of himself and both of their current teams will be better than the lakers . Why would melo want to go play by himself in la ? He's basing all this on the Knicks barely being a playoff team and melo getting frustrated .... Yet he said the Knicks were trash last year too and was 100% wrong ... The guy throws stuff out there to look important
