People act as if the Lakers will have to go through every single contending team in the West once the playoffs start.

They could very well end up in a favorable bracket.
The thing is the top 2 seeds go without saying so no matter what, the Lakers have to play one of GS or HOU in Round 2. Houston has taken a step back but they weren't going to replicate 65 wins anyway. Lakers as a whole would have to be sizzling in the last 15 or so games of the season for me to trust them to beat Houston 4 times. That or Melo would have to show he has nothing left in the tank.

So unless Harden misses a significant number of games, the Warriors have a stretch missing Curry and KD, and the Spurs and OKC underperform, it's hard to see a favorable bracket for LA.

if the lakers don't have to play the warriors in the first or second round in the playoffs then they have a good chance to make it...

houston isn't that dangerous defensively this year

san antonio have weak minded playoff players as stars -- derozan and LA

Utah is good, but no one can stopped or contain lebron

OKC is good, but the last 5 minutes of games with the ball in Russ hands it's a wrapped for them... bad shot selections and wild turnovers

People keep saying that but its not true. In the 2nd half of last season KCP, BI and Kuzma were killing it from 3. Zo also has been a good shooter most of his life, and had a hot stretch last year so if his new tweaked shot ends up working out he'll be a decent shooting option as well.

Well I was just speaking in context of predicting them making the WCF. Those are show and prove shooters not knock-down shooters. Im not saying that they wont be consistent this year im just saying ive got to see. We know rondo, lance and ball(to this point) arent shooters tho.
