Recently I've been listening to him ready to crown KD when in all actuality he hasn't done anything to warrant such praise. Yes, he had a phenomenal month of January but Stephen A acts like Lebron was not getting his in November December it wasn't until january he started slumping per his standards.

The main reason for this thread as a fan of lebron's I watched the guy do what KD is doing now for 7 straight years in cleveland but it was never enough for them to give him the nod over Kobe as the better player until he won a chip. Now durant who lost in the finals to lebron and the grizzles last year. Is 13-4 or 5 against Lebron head to head is supposed to be this unstoppable force and better player.

Remember he said I don't care what Lebron does in the regular season it's the post season that matters now he changes his views for KD and gloss over everything lebron had to endure as far as scrutiny.

Also KD better beware they may be setting him up to fail with the "oh he's a mvp and can't win it all". Sounds familiar don't it?

NEW ERA
SAS has become an embarrassment when talking about Lebron nowadays. He has KD's nuts shoved so far down his throat that he can't look at Lebron's year objectively. If he held KD to the same standards that he did Lebron, Lebron would be his MVP. It's the fact that KD's expectations are lower and he's exceeding them at the moment, hence the hype.

We in for a hot 2nd half of the season.

So KD hasn't done anything to warrant such praise...

Bron = 26.5 / 7RPG / 6.6APG / 1.5 SPG / 57FG% / 37 3PT%
KD = 31.2 / 7.7RPG / 5.5APG / 1.4 SPG / 51FG% / 42 3PT%

It's all just a narrative to build a storyline. Stephen A, usually the Lebron supporter is hyping KD to the point that Skip seems like the objective one. Lebron's stats are pretty much set in stone at this point on a season to season basis (26-28, 7 & 7), while KD has shown progress this season so it makes for a better story, which has a huge impact on MVP voting. Now when Lebron has a great 2nd half it makes the MVP race, the playoffs, and potential finals matchup of these 2 teams/players that much more interesting, giving ESPN/First Take something to talk about on a daily basis and better ratings, which obviously is their ultimate goal.

For the record I'm a Lebron fan, and I think KD is the front runner for MVP right now, but a monster 2nd half from Lebron can turn that around, and like OP said this storyline could be setting KD up for failure and Lebron up for his 5th mvp.
