Stephen A is a moron... Miami had one of the livest Arenas for the last 2 years... way liver than Chicago/Staples/Dallas/At&T ... god damn near all of them except boston and OKC... Miami crowd is live as fukk during games that actually matter.
A lot of cities are full of transplants.
In Dallas alone, literally half the population was born outside of Texas.
They dont seem to have the same problems Miami has.

I seem to remember the Marlins setting record numbers in attendance for their WS games because they played in football stadium and opened the whole stadium. Marlins attendance has been pathetic for the regular season but bandwagoners always come out of the woodwork for something like the World Series.

Why does being a "good/passionate fan" or "great sports town" matter?
It never made sense to me why one fan base cared about how much support another team gets from its fan base. So if your team comes to my town and only 2,000 fans show up and your team still gets blown out by 40 does the fact that most of my teams fan base wasnt there to cheer it on make you feel better about the loss?
If I dont make it to games then thats that. I grew up in Miami but have not lived there for 7 years now. I support the team and buy Heat and Dolphins gear and pay my leaguePass subscription to watch Heat games. Ive never watched a game and been paying attention to how many fans are in the seats because quite frankly i dont care.
As far as the Marlins go i wouldnt care if the team disappeared because i cant stand baseball

The clippers have more seats for their games. Hard to squeeze as many lakers fans inside because their fanbase is full of overweight Mexicans.
