According to Stephen A. Smith, Carmelo Anthony is planning to leave the Knicks after this season.

"I was told this last week, I was told a few days ago, I had it reiterated to me by somebody I trust yet again this morning, that Carmelo Anthony is gone, he is leaving New York city," Smith said on ESPN's First Take. "And he is gone because he's at the mindset that in order to achieve any amount of success he would had to sacrifice not just this this year but next year as well, because of this current roster."

Might make the most sense for both parties.

Phil should just accept a Bulls package of Boozer's expiring, 2 1st's and Mirotic.

It gives Melo his full contract extension he wants, allows the Bulls to keep Taj with a core of Rose, Noah & Melo, and gives the Knicks the top rated Euro prospect, 2 1st's in a solid draft and a huge expiring.

Mirotic is the better fit we would have no floor spacing beyond Melo.
