His actions say otherwise. Breh has had months to spend time with his family before the season started. He only played in 20 games last season. How much more family time does he need? Other players want to spend time with their family just as much as he does, but they are out there playing.
Come up with a better excuse than that.

but this is just one incident out of a portfolio of annoying ass shyt with this guy. On every team he’s been on.
He’s that crazy friend you have to explain to your normal friends that you just have to get to know him

Why are you still caping for this dudes actions? If he wants to take personal time off, then give up those checks until he’s ready to come back. Especially since he’s been breaking protocol in the process of spending time with said family. The protocols are in place for a reason.
