Not really. A couple people who cover the NBA knew Kyrie was not happy in Cleveland going back to their championship season. They just didn't speak on it as it would not have gone over well without Kyrie himself taking some sort of action first. There are plenty of stories out there that reporters sit on because releasing them would pretty much dead their access to sources and athletes. Would you risk killing your career over trying to be the first to report EVERYTHING?
Reporters have always reported on Kyrie struggling with being #2 to LeBron, they have direct quotes from Kyrie saying its difficult being #2 to LeBron.
From what I've heard it seems most are trying to act like they are plugged in after the fact after being fed stories by management.
Reporters in real news and in sports rarely report, they spout talking points from either side of the story depending on who gives them the best deal.

Steven A. Smith needs to stick to reporting facts.

"Reporting" that LeBron is tempted to fight Kyrie is fukking ludicrous.

How the fukk is that news? Am I in crazy world?

I hate SAD. He was almost irrelevant too. Smh.

Deeper than that breh. LeBron got a love child on the side with a reporter and the locker room didn't fukk with him like that. They all need he was smashing his mom but he was oblivious only worrying about himself. I got sources.

How much ink, airtime and conversation has gone on surrounding "The Decision" ?

Holding back on the supposed "Real Reason" James left is amusing because people spent tons of time slandering Lebron James because of it?

Releasing that info...presuming it is true(which I doubt) would have little repercussions for the reporter in question....

SAS is pumpfaking

Where do people get that SAS is plugged in.
He had a relationship with AI in philly where he protected AI for access. AI gone. He hasn't been a real beat reporter with sources since his time and philly.
He has no sources, he has no access, he lies and exaggerates, to grandstand and appear bigger than what he actually is.

Agreed

Long before any of the drama with KD, sas would come on the show and literally say "I talked to KD's mom about........"

He talked about how he'd talk to west brooks parents too. He talked about how him and lebron boys 4 main partners were his source of info most the time and how they'd link up all the time.

Realize these sports dudes have entourages. And they all have press members on dial to drop stories their way, leak info to put pressure on ownership, and help keep things good so when bad shyt happens, the press will cover it up.

That's how the game goes in the press. And trust. If he said nuclear and hinted there's a real reason why he left Cleveland.... he probably got the info from the same source who was close enough to say bron was going to Miami a year in advance. Meanwhile bron lying on TV talking bout he didn't know till that morning.
A year in advance? Stephen A had been saying LeBron was going to stay in Cleveland, that he was going to New York, Chicago, etc. He predicted Miami very shortly before it actually happened and it was already a known possibility that was being discussed. He didn't break anything.

There is a difference between saying it's difficult being #2 and such and such wants off the team.

He's also on record just a couple months ago saying he's just fine with it.

I think the idea that he's leaving due to being 2nd to bron is made up by the media/fans.

Most likely it's a personal issue with a player or staff that he just wants to get away from.

I can't think of any basketball reason that would make sense for him to leave.

No one said Kyrie wanted off team until the Cavs organization released that Kyrie wanted off the team, which is my point, these folks didn't know anything, they trying to act like they know to appear more plugged in than what they really are. The person I'm talking about in this regard is specifically someone like Brian Windhurt who was on ESPN talking about he knew this but didn't want to say, he knew nothing until he was told, like the majority of these "reporters"
