I'm listening to His & Her's and I can't be surprised that are defending him. And they are even playing the "Well, you didn't hear him right" card.

Cari Camphion: once you say provoke, people can't think/go crazy, after that...

...as if the word turned us into idiots and we couldn't think for ourselves.

I said it 20,000x; SAS isn't sayin' this if [insert white NFL player] hit his [white] wife.

I'm glad they brought up Mrs. Rice's race, because that is a big part of this, IMO. They aren't saying it, but, they seem to have similar views as me. They aren't hold SAS feet to the fire, though.

This is about the sterotype of neck-snapping-finger-waving-guuuurrrrllllll-whatchugondo?! type black women.

Yes, (and they said it) there's a big difference, in the response, when black and white women are in domestic abuse situations, but, they stopped even talking about SAS, at that point. He was guilty of the same.

I'm tired of media heads pretending we're havin' a "discussion" via TV, Twitter, etc. They say that as if they feel we're all on equal footing. We all know; they feel superior to us because they're on TV--stop it. They dominate the convo and don't like ppl disagreeing.

All in all; if you want to hear black ppl keepin' it real, listen to His & Her's.

Michael Smith & Jemele Hill sit and have a concise and honest discussion on issues. And they stick to what they know about.

 He just shouting out SAS for bringin' his bit to life.

Again, SAS said this about black women, not women.

Stop insulting ppls intelligent with the "You shouldn't hit a woman BUT."

And I'm done with this "Multi Media Conglomerates" just "opening up a dialogue."

I'm at work and can't listen to the whole thing, but was able to listen to the first few minutes and Burr is on point. Regardless of what criticisms one might have of SAS, this situation should have never happened. It was a classic case of a woman yelling the loudest all the while taking comments out of context to build an army of misinformed and faux-morally-outraged people to take her side. In a sense, it's like the modern day media equivalent of a white woman yelling rape. Funny to me too, that people are saying that this is a "Wake up n!gga" moment for SAS. I have to admit, it's one for me too because every now and then I lose sight of how this society is and how it operates, and how we're viewed and catagorized as Black males. Life's demands and responsibilities can make the nuances of race and society seem like white noise, or like chatter in the background. I gotta do what I gotta do to eat regardless of what they think about me, and with that I find myself getting along quite well with white coworkers, often women. Going to happy hour with em, chattnig throughout the day, etc., thinking everything is good. Then a situation like this with SAS happens, and it puts things back into perspective. One just really can't be too careful, or lackadaisical.

Michelle Beadle probably salty right now

I hope she grits her teeth, develops high blood pressure, and has a heart attack over it. She already failed at NBC, and may the rest of her career end up the same. Fuggin snake. She could care less about women being abused. She's an opportunist, nothing more, and plenty less.
