The thing that gets me is how we're the only group that airs our "problems" out for the world. Whether its black on black violence, no good baby daddy's, the lack of quality men available to black women and vice versa, dating outside the race,etc. Nothing is kept in-house. Even though racism is the white disease, when's the last time or how often do you see 4 white ppl in a panel on CNN discussing it. How often do u even see the term "white on white", "jewish on jewish" or "asian on asian" crime. Right now, go to youtube and type in "where are all the good white men?". I just did and nothing popped up. Now type in "where are all the good black men?" and you"ll get pages after pages of results.
Its like we're finally at a point in time where black america's collective consciousness is turning TOWARDS the real enemy and cause of our problems, and this racc00n wants to the steer it AWAY.

This is the problem with "Repectability" politics. It takes the focus off the fact there are cops abusing power just like they did with Sandra. Lying on police reports and blacks are ending up dead because of it. It's a deflection and Stephen A isn't dumb, he knows what he's doing that's why he's not getting a pass from me. His only point was to blame black people. When the ALC Ice Bucket challegne was going on did Cancer organazations start one? What about Aids/HIV? Nope. Yet there are people more offended by saying "black lives matter" cause it forces them to confront this country racist history that continues to impact black lives till this day.

It's deflection. Black on Black crime has it's place. No one is ignoring that but that's not what Blacklivesmatter is about. And trying to say what about Black on Black crime is trying to deflect attention from a very serious racial problem especially from those who are supposed to be protecting the public.

I'm not trying to sound didactic cause this is just me venting here.

The problem is people don't understand the simple meaning behind the slogan. Most people read it like, "Only Black Lives Matter."

All it's saying that the population in American that tends to be devalued the most is treated like trash whenever fukked up killings happen and they're sick of it. There's nothing wrong with talking about poverty and crime and all that shyt in black communities, but to use "b ub ub ububu black on black crime!" as a red herring to try and invalidate the truth behind #blacklivesmatter is pathetic and stupid.

And like you said, that's a pandora's box no one wants to get into or acknowledge. I don't like the victim/inferiority mentality, but there's no debate that generations upon generations of engineered breakdown in black and hispanic communities has led to the slum-like conditions we see in most parts of the country.

The fact people misinterpret that slogan just tells me that people are just flatout dumb
