Knowing everything that we know now(that he didn't have a gun) why are we excusing the mistakes of the officers? The officers yelled gun, and lit him up before they could even finish saying their command....
What's the point of giving a command of you're just gonna light someone up?

They are incompetent to the fullest. I don’t expect any law enforcement to be educated and calm enough to handle any situation.

The part about him holding something is based on the idiot in the helicopter saying he had a crowbar. He broke the glass at the neighbors with something else. The cops on ground were getting info from the bird.
