why yall so worried about painting the victim as a bad person instead of the police who shot him for being black?
no one is doing anything that he has not done to himself. Marketing is involved in these situations. And being able to market a victim to gain empathy from the public is essential to align people behind a cause.
Posters want to bury that and focus on the police brutality aspect. But every day something foul about this dude comes out worse than before.
Act like if someone did you wrong and they were killed even unjustly you won't feel vindicated? My point is he ain't the one you want to use to garner public sympathy.
No one has talked about the sideshow Bob that is his brother nor the absence of his Asian babymama but want to chastise black folks (bw especially) for not turning the other cheek. When they do it all the time to the point of being mocked for it. Black people should be more selective on who they choose as representatives. If it was up to me I use this opportunity to divert attention from this dude to put on another victim and push for laws that predominantly affect black people from police.
Black men and women should push for laws against police brutality regardless and not wait for these tragedies to happen before rallying the troops. That is not how a community operates.
There are plenty of bm that died in the last year that can be face for this campaign and not him. Nowadays people online persona overlaps with their real lives. So to pretend that dude wasn't most likely living what he professed is delusional.
So you can miss me with these were jokes or trying downplay the ish because it is inconvenient. Death doesn't erase your wrongdoing just cause you are dead.
Let that be a lesson for all of us and be more mindful of the digital footprint we leave behind.
