So every rebound he gets is an uncontested defensive rebound...

No.....The wizards are 16th in rebounding. How is that possible if they have a PG that's avg 11 boards? Shouldn't they be #1 or at least top 3?

You want to know how it's because the rebounds are just being allocated differently. Every game in the NBA there are about 45 rebounds to go around. Lets say a PG would avg around 4 and the big 12 for a total of 16 rebounds. All that is happening with Russ is that the PG is avg 10 and the big 6. It's still 16 rebounds. Russ is just stealing rebounds from his bigs, the team isn't getting an extra 10 possessions because russ is getting rebounds.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I would have to say Westbrook's is more impressive.

4 triple double seasons :manny:

I could see if it were just one or two. Nobody has done it since Oscar.

TO put things in perspective, Ray Allen had the record for three pointers in the season and it stood for 9 years until Curry broke it.

Since that time, 6 other players have passed Ray Allen's 269. And others have come close.

Centers can shoot the three. But nobody has put up a triple double .

I said Russ SOLELY because I think what he does is actually more achievable for others than what Steph does, its just that most players aren't willing to go as hard all the time as Russ does. I've told my son to emulate how hard Russ plays numerous times. Never told him to emulate Steph. Steph is essentially a freak of nature with his shooting. Russ is kind of an athletic freak too but we've seen guys with similar levels of athleticism but nobody who is just 100mph all the time like him.

Luka is gonna eventually break the triple double mark if he stays healthy

He can't just do it one time though. And even if he did it one time, it would take multiple players doing it, to downgrade what Westbrook accomplished.

One could argue, Klay Thompson would have just as many 3's as curry if he played on a different team.

Luka would have to do it at least 3 times, and then you would need at least 1 or 2 other people to do the same thing.

Everyone who says that Russ gets triple-double cause he "goes hard all the time", was he not going as hard his first 7 years? Cause he wasn't anywhere close to his current averages.

And does that count the defensive end? Cause if you think Russ goes all-out on defense where he can't accumulate triple-double stats...

Back in the day Russ had a coach who publicly called him out for chasing triple-doubles, even tho he wasn't doing it 1/10th as much as he does now. And on Houston the team was in contention so he wasn't allowed to do it as much there either. He's been caught literally telling the box score guys to award him rebounds. It's no surprise that he's only allowed to statpad on teams with nothing big to play for. Shouldn't that tell us something?

He chased them that first year in OKC when KD left.

I respect him as a player but he just can’t turn these triple doubles and stats into wins.

The Wizards are terrible. It’s not translating into wins
