OP is telling the truth about the salaries and it being the main reason why Golden state is so deep. The comparisons to Russ aren't fair to me.... Russ is playing on an extremely mediocre team now and while those triple doubles are great example of what Russ is capable of, its also a bad sign that he has to do to much......

You shouldn't have to get numbers like that in today's league in order to have a chance at winning..... The reason Russ is getting them is because of subpar coaching and mediocre team play

We wouldn't let a James Harden type talent get away because of money. Russy shouldn't be rewarded with an MVP because his owner is cheap and didn't want to pay for a top 10 player to join the other top 5.

Last season I said we were one of the top 2 deepest teams in the league and even made a thread about it and nikkas laughed at me. I said we had the best starting 5 in the league and they laughed harder. Now all of a sudden we have so much talent it's unfair

How would it be stupid? So you let a MVP candidate go cause you can't figure out how to pay him..... At least make the trade work in the team's best interest....If I couldn't get a somewhat MAX return, you may wanna look at going over the cap if the money is there.......

A team of Westbrook, Harden, Durant all on max deals isn't stupid. Not keeping 3 MVP candidates when you have them on your roster is stupid regardless of position. And it's not like they got rid of Harden to give his money to a max big man either. I could understand if they got rid of Harden to give a max deal to a Marc Gasol or something but they just wanted to save money.

A team of Westbrook, Harden, Durant all on max deals isn't stupid. Not keeping 3 MVP candidates when you have them on your roster is stupid regardless of position.

Actually what position they play, plays a significant part. You don't go giving three players who play more or less the same role for a team all max money.
