That doesn't even sound right. No other promotion out there has this problem. Excluding Impact because they don't perform in front of a genuine wrestling audience. How about people start acknowledging that the WWE is stubborn and coasting most of the time instead of pretending like the WWE has been trying to give fans a fresh, exciting product?

Y'all been begging for the cruiserweight division to come back for years & y'all got it. Not only is it a regular part of raw, but they have it's own show exclusively for cruiserweight action.

Lots of people have touched on this in the past, but I think you can still have hateable heels, even in today's climate. They have to be truly non-redeeming though, that's the key. Way, way too many cool and badass heels over years.
Game of Thrones is a great examples. A complicated show with lots of grey area, many tweeners....but they people they want you to hate, they make sure there's *nothing* to get behind. Jamie Lannister is how so many heels are booked nowadays. He might be a bad person who does bad things, but he's cool. He's tough, rebellious, he's a guy you want to be on some level.
Someone like Joffre....NO ONE wants to be him. He's whiney, weak, cowardly. No one ever wants to live through him.
JBL wrote a big blog on that years ago, how he made sure to never do anything likable. Don't look good, be brave, have a cool entrance, anything. It's hard but it's ultimately what drives business, in wrestling and TV/movie drama. Only the best of the best writers/actors can pull off good drama with complicated characters. That is not and will never be something the WWE is capable of, so they should stay in their lane and stick to having *actual* heels.
