Right...care to post an argument?

Windows 8 is great outside of the gaming issues.
trying to shoehorn a mobile os on a all their products is stupid, thats why years from now every business around the world will still be using 7 just like they were using xp when vista dropped

They didn't try to shoehorn a mobile OS, just a layout change across all devices.

It worked for the most part, the only thing they had to change is the legacy desktop and add the start button back for laptops/desktops.

[QU6136, member: 9"]Ballmer was right all along and I think this deserves mention on here. His team had the best approach to all these new devices with different screen sizes and uses. Android/Chrome OS is fragmented, and iOS/Mac OS X still lacks features that Windows does better due to its open nature.

Remember how people tried to shyt on him and the Windows team for trying to implement the windows "metro/modern" look on Windows Phone, Windows Desktop/Tablet, and of course on the XBOX? Well, now everyone appears to be on board because the team finally found the perfect balance of giving the desktop users what they wanted in the traditional start menu, yet still leaving the metro and windows store option in there as well that casuals on the xbox, phones, and tablets have learned to use.

I will also like to say that Windows 8.1 is just fine, did it hurt the gaming side of things? Sure, but almost everything else is better on Windows 8 over 7. I don't even think there is much debate, from search to automatically typing in the modern layout everything just worked much better than old desktop systems. All of this is starting to make sense to people especially now that you see the benefits once if you own an xbox one, windows desktop, tablet, or even a windows phone. Everything is starting to fit like a glove, yes even better than iOS/Mac OS X Yosemite (which is filled with bugs btw).

The results/facts in 2015:

3 problems though and its worth mentioning in here as well:

Everything else has been just fine and it's good to see Microsoft back on their feet after their slips. This is not a "Post Ballmer" idea either, he was the one that helped orchestrated this shyt years ago and it is finally coming to fruition. I am sure bloggers and others online will still view him somewhat negatively, but those who really know how this stuff works in the background, know that he deserves major credit for all of this.

I think the only one on here who saw this stuff going down the way it did was @ExodusNirvana and to some extent @Hiphoplives4eva

Remember the steam machines? I am still waiting to see how SteamOS turns out, but I am not so sure its really necessary anymore with the improvements to Windows 10.

I am also interested in seeing how Google eventually ties in ChromeOS and Android even closer together. That is taking a bit longer than I expected.[/QUOTE]
Is this a hiphoplivefoever thread

Yea thought so. The issue you speak of has since been patched months ago. It performs much smoother and has less unresponsiveNess. Everything is easily accessible either with voice command or a swipe of the control. Meanwhile, PS4, while always having a smooth surface from launch, is just antiquated. Lame voice controls. Still have to scroll through endless tiles. And it still has problems loading friend list and processing messages/invites. I would get an invite to a game, have to back out, and the damn invite wont appear in my notifications until five minutes later

Hey you stupid piece of shyt, thought I'd up this thread. I own an Xbox One now have been messing around with it extensively for the last couple days and guess what? The menu is still hot trash and cumbersome to use.

Ballmer was responsible for all the stuff that is still being seen today. We just found out that he basically saved the XBOX division in the middle of the RROD fiasco with that 1.2 Billion they spent fixing the problem.

Windows 10 Mobile is great, Windows 10 on the PC is getting people back after the aggressive Windows 8 method, and the UI also works on the xbox one.

Microsoft is in a great position right now, I really like what they have done with their consumer products in the past 5-6 years.

They need to start taking some of the mobile phone market share. It's hard to sell continuity when the device people use most these days is probably from another company.

they have the right idea with sneaking into the ultra-affordable hardware realm...whether it will work or not remains to be seen

And now they revamping the UI

and fakkits questioned me when I said the UI was trash
"The XBOX One has a better UI than the PS4 and Wii U"

:what:

X1 UI right now is trash, it was made from the ground up for Kinect in mind, problem is no one uses that junk and people are stuck with an uninuitive clunky UI to be controlled by a controller, so unless you've magically seen what this new X1 looks like already you need to :camby:
