Africans and american blacks are two different things. Our ancestors may have come from the continent, but there's 400 years of separation and a completely different and unique culture developed in isolation.

American black culture is not a 'continuation' of African culture. It is its own thing.

There's nothing wrong with admitting there is a difference. That doesn't mean there's enmity or hate or discord, but the reality is that the African and the ADOS cultures are so far apart that there is a clear difference.

Most Africans that come here don't want to live amongst black Americans. They'd rather band together and form their own communities and there is NOTHING wrong with that. They are amongst their people.

Let's be real. Africans, in large part, DON'T see African Americans as the same thing, and they can't really, because most African Americans don't even know what tribe they came from. In Africa, there is no such thing as 'everybody is African.' It's national, and really, even more granular than that-- it's tribal. Ethiopians don't see themselves as Nigerians and vice versa.

People have been talking that pan african stuff for decades and inothing ever comes from it. It's almost always black americans wanting to identify with Africa and not Africans pulling blacks into their culture. I haven't seen a huge contingent of black folks leave for Africa or Africans pooling money together to get their 'lost African American brothas' back to the motherland.

There's nothing wrong with accepting the reality that there are two completely different cultures. Many white Americans may have their lineage in the UK somewhere or in Germany, but they will be considered AMERICAN if they go over there.

Is there any scholarly research or paper/book you can prove what you say?

As in have you ever discussed it in a classroom or offline?

Where you learn the above from

The Organization of African Unity/The African Union, support/training/funding to groups white supremacist regimes in Southern Africa such as Apartheid South Africa/Rhodesia/Angola, African Americans finding refuge in Tanzania or Ghana, Algeria/FLN training the ANC, Fanonian philosophy, CLR James historiography, Ghana-Guinea-Mali political union, Congolese Rumba, West African Highlife, etc etc etc?

I wanna know who the professors, scholars, books, historians etc who agree with their viewpoints

Especially their lived experience

It is almost as if some of these folks are not real people

I think getting land en masse for ADOS here is better, unless an african nation was willing to launch a initiative prioritizing re assimilating us.

Just because in your anecdotal experience you haven’t met those people doesn’t mean they’re not real. Especially in this world where the internet exists…for instance, do you read any academic journals?

Also, did you know that it’s the current UN decade for people of African descent and that for nearly a decade, the UN has been facilitating activism across Africa and its diaspora?

Africans don't get free land I tell you dudes this everytime you mention that in these threads. What land will be gifted to millions of people that doesn't have people? Lessons from Liberia... Still relevant today about putting new people on top of people. It's idealism.

There's no land to be gifted en mass. Let's talk in practical terms. Not idealistic.

In my country alone there's the biggest slum on the world. All those millions of people are homeless essentially. Now imagine a million people come into a country with a million homeless and get land. Doesn't take a wild imagination to know what goes down next.

Unity only requires civility. It's not about giving and taking just repairing relations. Majority of Africa is not bridging the gap to make amends like countries that might have been responsible for the Atlantic passage. They just trying to improve relations.

I ask because I must be missing something.
Where is the information coming from that "we different people....pan africanism is dead/worthless....africans hate us"...
Academic journals are above my level of intelligence.

I know many folks here have advanced degrees....With my little time in college...I have an understanding of how educated people debate...the verified sources they draw from etc

I am not seeing that level of discussion with many folks.....

For example the things Charleston White says....I am sure there are folks who speak like that...
Yet anywhere in every circle I have been in, such a person would be dispised and not considered worthy to be included in any serious discussion...

I've said this before, if you truly want to make money its in the continent. Me and a few brehs here in the states Cliqued up with a couple of tutsi brehs in the diaspora originally from Rwanda and we started a coffee production company. Coffee is the #1 cash crop in East Africa, using our access to Western capital, we buy equipment and send them over to make cultivating it easier and more efficient. The continent has the most uncultivated arable land in the world, EVERYBODY is coming to the continent. Only the low IQ idiots are still participating in these dumb petty diaspora wars. I work a remote IT job so I travel alot. Every trip I take to the continent its nothing but cacs, Indians, and Chinese. There have been Indians who are DEAD broke and within 10 years living in the continent are millionaires.

Brehs need to head to the continent quick, this is like finding out about bitcoin in 2010 :wow:

@Henri Christophe keeps telling these nikkas but they can't see the forest from the trees

You’re smarter than you know. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

I recommend taking a look at the Journal of African History and the Journal of African Political Economy

There should be a freedom of movement, residence, labour, a customs union, recognition of licenses and certificates, and a governing board for projects of a multi country scope between Africans/Afro-descendants
