He has two mvp's which belonged to The Gawd

Popovich had the goat gameplan tho, he played tight on everybody and sagged off of nash, a lot of high scoring games for nash but that rattled him
my buddy always had a theory. You want to beat Nash? Make him score 100 points. just let him go off and shut down everyone else. he can't win 97% of the games by himself.

That's why I never understood how people could say Nash dominated because of the system that Dantoni had. Nash just was given the ball in Phoenix and given free will to do his thing. That shooting and scoring ability was always there. Going back to Phoenix and being given his own team just bought it out of him.

that was low-key one of the most entertaining rivalries of the Aughts.

I don't remember any Suns vs. Mavs game that went below 100 points.

It doesn't change the fact that Nash was washed up. You are acting like Kobe and Nash played together in their prime.
Nash was putting up numbers two seasons ago though. He wasn't "washed up" when he got to L.A., just old.

And it really doesn't matter anyway; it doesn't change the fact that as far as team success is concerned Steve Nash is probably the most underachieving "superstar" in NBA history.... especially considering he and D. Rose are the only MVPs to have never even sniffed a n NBA Finals, but at least Rose has another decade in front of him.

LOL.

If they would have stayed on the bench, the Suns STILL would have lost. The Spurs simply weren't losing to that Suns team that season.

Also, there is no "should have" won for Steve Nash. He's had all kinds of talent throughout his career and has never even played in a Finals... there's a reason for that. He's played with Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, Amare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson, Michael Finley, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Antoine Walker, Nick Van Exel, Antawn Jamison, etc., etc., and has nothing to show for it,

The Dantoni theory was disproven years ago already. He had no system, hes a bum. It was all Nash.

:childplease:

Magic Johnson
Oscar Robertson
Isaiah Thomas

I'd take Kidd over him too :skip:

Isiah Thomas and Kidd were NOT better than Nash. Nash has routinely anchored the top offenses in the league while being one of the most efficient players in the league. Nash is one of the most dominant offensive players in NBA history.

Isiah Thomas is an overrated player. He was credited with all the success the Pistons had with him due to the team not having any superstars when the truth is that he was never a MVP level type player, but instead his cast were really, really good.

Remember, Nash was winning MVPs with KG, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe etc. all going strong. Isiah was never close to sniffing a MVP trophy even when his team was among the best in the league. That says alot.

Kidd, I won't even entertain that. It's clear as day that Nash was better.

Actually, Kidd and Isiah were CLEARLY better players than Nash. CLEARLY. ESPECIALLY Isiah.

And let's not act like those Nash MVPs weren't basically giftwrapped for him.

Also, I'll tell you this... if you replace Steve Nash with Isiah Thomas, those Mavericks teams and those Suns teams actually compete for titles, instead of being stuck as second round and WCF losers year in and year out. And if you put Nash on those Pistons teams back in the day, they never even reach a Finals... but I guess then again Nash would be used to that.

LOL @ trying to shyt on Isiah by saying he just played on talented casts, when Isiah NEVER played with as much talent as Nash played with. Isiah never played with a guy on the level of Dirk Nowitzki or Amare Stoudemire in his prime.
