The reporter who asked
Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith a question after his team’s 23-10 playoff loss against San Francisco probably wishes he kept his mouth shut.
Smith had a knee injury, but managed to play in Carolina’s first playoff game since the 2008 season. He finished with four catches for 74 yards and one touchdown during the loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Although Smith was disappointed, he spoke with reporters after the game. That is when one reporter, for some odd reason, asked Smith if he would be rooting for the
Seattle Seahawks over the 49ers in the NFC championship game.
Huh?
“You really want me to thump you upside the head?,” Smith said (

Ice up, son.
