Honestly, don't see how this move benefits Memphis in the short term.
Why include JV in the deal when the 10th alone should have been enough to convince Memphis to take on Adams contract?
I know they’re probably panicking to keep Zion happy but Lowry doesn’t really fit their timeline and is gonna be 36 next season how many good years does he have left?
Memphis stay Memphis. Bledsoe is Monta Ellis v2. Bucks got rid of him and won a championship, just like Warriors did after trading Monta.
I like this for NO. Pairs Zion up with another offensively talented front court player with size. Risky move for Memphis IMO.
Man... fukk my franchise.
We gave a 1st round pick to get Steven Adams.
We gave up two 1st round pick to get rid of him and Bledose.
We just burned 3 1st round pick to fix our own problem for an expiring big man contract. WTF, man. Farm franchise. I'm so sick of this shyt.
I don’t really understand that deal for Memphis. JV could at least provide them with spacing and he was a top 10 rebounder and better scorer. I guess they like someone at 10.
reminds me of firing Monty Williams after making the playoffs and hiring Alvin Gentry
The "Oh it worked for them so it will work for us" strategy
They moved up 7 spots into the lottery in a pretty stacked draft.
shoulda just kept jrue then.
does this mean Pelicans are going all in after Lowry then?
Griff actually making up for his bad coach hire and getting Bledsoe and Adams. Valacunias can shoot a bit. They will probably try to sign and trade Zo but that might not be possible.
I would have tried to hustle NO for more than just that Lakers pick for taking on Bledsoe's contract.
