That's how the world is. Somebody insults a group and if their fanbase doesn't include that group much of the fanbase dgaf what was said. Some do feel a sort of cognitive dissonance of liking that person's content despite their views so they defend them because also in this world more people have issue with the negative stigma associated with things like racism that the actual views such people hold.
