I read another recent article about this talking about the lack of infrastructure to donate all the extra goods that farmers have now. With all the restaurants, schools, hotels, etc. closed they have so much excess but are only able to store so much and there's all the contracts, connections, logistics that simply aren't in place to deliver the excess to food banks and shelters. It's such a travesty.

That's exactly what happened to avoid unemployment. There are tons of people who are working a half to fourth of the their normal hours. Those people don't qualify for unemployment.

The food shortage article is an interesting follow up to the first.

When the first article dropped the needs of food banks at home were largely being met. In the current article we see that's no longer the case.

This pandemic is yet again highlighting the failures of the Trump administration yet again. Understaffed departments led by partisans who are often under qualified for the posts they head causing pain on millions of Americans.

Also, look at all the money we're pumping into Dairy farms as a part of Trump's trade war to make farmers feel okay.

It could be a colorado only thing but if you had your hours reduced or you employment has been effected in any way by covid19 you can apply.
