oh really? other countries are passing the bills he described? like who?

france replacing 80 percent of salaries is the only example ive heard, and the republican bill plus state unemployment is at least 60 percent for most people. plus france is a fifth our size

any other examples?

referencing the size or population of the U.S as being an impetence to doing anything similar to what other countries are doing successfuly is nonsense since economies of scale is still a thing.

It didn't pass the senate. McConnell should come up with a bill that can pass the senate just like Pelosi was able to do in the house. :yeshrug:

:patrice: id have to disagree with "none" of this being their fault. lets not act like both states didnt have substantial financial issues before covid

theyve both been overpromising public employees for decades, and shytting on their own residents by extorting the taxes it takes to pay for it. corona just exacerbated their problem
What financial issues did CA have with a budget surplus before Covid lmao? Stop parroting right wing talking points.

Cut the corporate socialism, have them pay actual taxes, legalize pot, and cut the military waste and you easily can. That's a fantasy though.

None of this was their fault obviously, you can blame Trump for the idiotic response and later for the targeted sabotage of states like CA and NY.
Nah, a lot of this was the faults of the governors. Not all, but a lot.
