-1500 dollar checks for everyone
-extra 400 per week unemployment
and dare the republicans to veto that a month before the election?
if it passes, it helps a ton of people from both parties. if the republicans turn it down, democrats can spend the next month talking about how the republicans hate the american people

This has been obvious from the jump so I'm confused when people are asking and wondering why the 2nd stimulus hasn't happened. They've done everything to let you know they don't want to cut those checks except actually say it.
If this was this is the crisis the government claims it is and they actually gave a damn then we would be seeing something similar to what these Euro countries are doing with long term help for people. We aren't though. And what's even crazier is if you go back and read this thread there are ppl acting like the unemployment benefits and that extra few hundred dollars was something noteworthy or generous.
What is three or four hundred extra dollars and no healthcare benefits going to do for an unemployed person during a pandemic? Nothing and that's why you see people picking up jobs for less pay...they're tired of the bullshyt and know what time it is.
