More than three dozen Senate Republicans, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, filed a brief to the Supreme Court on Friday backing a Christian school’s bid for a religious carve-out from Kentucky’s coronavirus restrictions, arguing that they amount to an illegal shutdown of religious activity.
"Everyone understands this has been a challenging time for local leaders, but pandemics don’t erase our First Amendment rights."

GOP senators back Christian school's push for COVID-19 carve-out

these Republicans have your best at heart, they would shower you with money and aid if it weren't for the wicked Dems

I'm not sure what the dishonest take is here?

McConnell rejected the the proposed compromise back in October when the white house and the house were both calling for a large relief package.

There was never a deal and apparently there still isn't with McConnell even rejecting the compromise package.

Either way, voters didn't view a coronavirus relief package as important enough to vote out Republicans.

Elections have consequences. :wow:

Yeah Pelosi didn't push more because she had a feeling an additional stimulus package helped Trump and she might have been right. At the end like I've said for months the White House and Senate have no real interest in a another package.

She pushed for more and passed more in the house twice.

For sure but the Senate was not passing anything, even now they are acting up. She thought they will win back the Senate and then her party could negotiate from a position of strength but it didn't turn out like aht.
