Their thought process is probably to get people to spend money fast to jump start the economy when its up and running. They can open it back up but they cant get it started if everyone is broke and scared due to the lock down.

They can either print more money and risk inflation or they could just let businesses shut down.

Regardless the economy ain't coming back anytime soon, might as well help people with money and when other businesses open up partially the can spend. People still have to buy groceries, pay bills etc. The Republicans are stuck anyways. Whether people get money or not. They are responsible for this pandemic getting this bad.

I’ve heard a couple of days ago on the news that most if not all of the jobs that were created since 2010 are gone. Thats pretty bad I don’t know how this will get better anytime soon even with those places reopening. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Some big companies like Apple will be opening soon though.
